Savor can read a recipe from a photo — a printed recipe card, a cookbook page, or your own handwritten notes.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Savor. In the Smart Import section, tap Photos to choose from your library, or Camera to take a new photo.
  2. Select or capture the recipe. You can add more than one photo if the recipe spans several pages.
  3. Set the Recognition Language to the language the recipe is written in.
  4. If the recipe is handwritten, turn on Handwritten Recipe for better recognition.
  5. Tap Import & Recognize.

Savor reads the photos, creates the recipe, and opens it, already saved to your collection. Review it and edit anything you want to change.

Tips for best results

  • Use clear, well-lit photos with the text in focus.
  • Capture the whole recipe, including the ingredient list and the steps.
  • Recognition works best on printed text. Handwriting can vary, so check the result and edit as needed.
